Write a 3-5 page essay analyzing the issue of linguistic discrimination. You may choose the particular language(s) yourself, as well as what major issues within this topic you feel most strongly about. Remember, this essay is an analysis, NOT an argument for or against a position. You are simply explaining how language discrimination works and giving examples of this issue from your research (both personal knowledge AND from sources in the library). We can all assume that discrimination based on how one speaks is NEVER good, so there really isn’t a side to take with this. We are simply exploring the topic itself and examining the underlying factors of this phenomenon.
