For up to 20 points of extra credit, you may include the following assignment to accompany your Self-Analysis Portfolio assignment . There are two elements, and you must include both to earn the full 20 points:

1. A professional, polished version of your current resume (or CV). Not sure how to create a resume? Check out these resources:

2. A 2-3 paragraph short essay describing and explaining how the results of your communication self-analysis apply to your current and/or future professional life. For example, you might answer the following questions in your short essay:

a. Which of your three strengths/skills is most applicable to the workplace setting and/or your professional life? Explain the ways in which it is applicable.
b. Given your strengths and skills, what kind of position or role do you think you are most suited to in the workplace? For example, do your skills speak to your potential as a leader, a team member, a creative role, technical work, etc.? How so?
c. Are any of your strengths/skills not applicable to the workplace setting and/or your professional life? Why or why not?
d. How do your 2-3 communication goals apply to your professional life? In other words, what difference could meeting your communication goals have on your professional life?
e. Do you have any additional communication goals that are explicitly about workplace or professional communication? What are they? What is your plan for meeting these goals?
